wrapping up the semester

the past few weeks have been quite fun! highlights: anime boston (panty from psg cosplay), weekly dollar oysters with my beloved roommate who i will miss so much next semester, wireless parties (tesla coil shocks feel so nice actually), blind/deaf/mute baking (as the blind one), rewatching every piece of metal family content, discovering blood on the clocktower and playtesting a friend-of-a-friend's LARP. i think going outside is good for me (shocker!). i've felt like a person lately. i have been Normal about my alchohol consumption.
lately i've become aware of time as a "finite" sort of concept. i fear that i've been wasting too much of it. it's too easy to live life as a spectator. so, of course, i've uninstalled reels just to scroll youtube shorts instead! i want to start making art again, i think i'll pick up watercolors over this summer. i'm suprised that this site hasn't gone to the project graveyard yet.

pcb board etching all-nighter

alchohol is Evil. one of the quizzes was actually my accounting midterm! oh joy! terrible things might be happening to my gpa. however, nu wireless makes life worth living. did a surface mount soldering workshop which was pretty light even though my eyes are getting worse, and etched some pcbs! tbh i just followed my wireless club president (who's leaving for japan next week? what a weeb!) like a duckling but i think it was quite fun. notes of what i remember below, not sure it'll be comprehensible to anyone other than me. also: really tasy borscht (w sour cream, rye, and raw garlic), explored the uni rooftops, and had 6am panera. pres knows what a janny is! what a day.

pink whitney feeds the demons in me

i'm not great with alchohol. once i'm drinking i don't really know when to stop. yikes! drinking for the first times since new year's was fine except for i woke up in my dorm bathroom. yikes! at 5am, which i know because i pulled out my phone to call an uber to my dorm FROM MY DORM. how they let that go through i have no idea.

you can laugh, it's pretty funny. i didn't end up studying today but it's probably fine, i can spll drop quizzes in both the classes i have quizzes in tommorow. my fam is super awesome. they indulged my curry craving and were so nice today even though i was little more than a badly reanimated corpse. i;m really glad i'm making good friends here in boston.

lately i've been trying to learn orthic shorthand. i've dipped my toes into teeline and gregg before, but i don't need the speed that phonetic alphabetization gives me, so i think it'll be easier to actually learn orthic. my classes all have group projects that are due soon, and it's kind of stressing me out. i fear that i procrasinated my market entry project too hard, my accouting group is lowkey all bots, i haven't even spoken to my stats group (and i skipped all of this week oops), and my innovation group is doing well but that class is such a waste of time. guys i'm not an academic weapon.

boston is actuallly really pretty when the snow is melted. i heard seagulls outside today, i love being on the coast. i think i'm not locked in enough for school but i'm not doing too bad. i feel an impending sense f stress but i really don't want to worry about it. i'm trying to learn how to paint, but colors are so much harder than charcoal sketching.

i love this city

smelled the bbq passing nrg on the freeway back from the airport. only in houston! i missed cars and highways and driving so much. and it was actually quite nice seeing my parents today. waipo was also fine, she made really yummy dinner. radish and pork rib soup and fish and assorted stir-fry veggies. gave the dog a bath, gonna go to galveston for a few days with boyf soon.

finally home :D

omg finally home! ewa picked me up from the airport and the flight wasn't too bad. she has some homework to finish so i'm at her place for a bit. my mom made me soup because she loves me. i love my mama. it's good to be home where it's nice and warm and sunny. i gotta pick up a pair of cowboy boots while i'm back, ideally rubber-soled and pointy-toed and black. maybe less excited about waipo...

going home!

added sidebars and theming to the closet :D. finally going back to houston! i miss the warm. snow on the ground in almost march is such a crime. i think boston is fun, but it's kinda strange how long it takes to get anywhere, despite the city being so tiny. i'm halfway through the school year, my grades are Not Bad and should be going up :). making new friends and having a pretty good time! currently, i'm in Barkada, NU Wireless, Game Design Studio, and kind of Green Line Records.

last month, i did a game jam. my team made a silly platformer, it's super quick and it's yuri(!!!), so check it out :3 so excited to see my dog and my boyf and my friends and to eat lots of meat.
